The population is split 50/50 Democrat/Republican. Colleges are more liberal than the average institution in the US. Stanford is more liberal than the average college. Regardless of your politics, those are just facts.
Stanford is far too liberal for the average student. Florida is middle of the road.

Stanford is "conservative" in an old money way. The Hoover Institution, a conservative political think tank, is also based on their campus.

No idea if she was walk on or scholarship at Stanford. Florida is back home. If she miraculously found her form, she could compete for spots 5-7 at Florida.
Obviously she leaves the Stanford degree behind, but not knowing her career ambitions, it's hard to judge this aspect.
