If you want to improve speed/power:
Back squat or Trap bar deadlift 2-4 reps heavy
If you just need injury prevention
Bulgarian Split squat (more glute, ham) or front squat (more quad) 6-8 reps
I think the best approach is todo both in offseason: heavy Back squat 2-4 reps + split squat 6-8 reps
In season alternate doing just one off the 2 ...
