I never get injured and I'm an old man. Yer doin it rong.
Up to 70+% of runners must be doing it wrong as well then…according to the sport’s injury stats…
You should write a book and tell us all how to do it right…
Even if I explained how to train optimally and avoid injury, you would still get injured because you would ignore my advice, convinced that you know better.

Well pot…calling kettle black here…as you clearly think the same…
Walking is easier on the body, that's true enough. We're also pretty poor runners compared to most animals. We're pretty lousy physically in every way compared to most animals. It's our great big brains that make us what we are, and that includes being the best distance running species on the planet. We possess the WILL to persevere, and the ability to defer gratification in order to get better at it. Just imagine if a dog or a stag could think like us and train as we do. We wouldn't stand a chance at any distance.
Humans evolved a brain capable of doing all kinds of dumb unnecessary sh*t for it's own amusement, might as well lean into it. Acquire goods, operate a sex swing, run 400's. You were born for it, you weird little hairless war monkey.

If you look at one of my earlier posts I mentioned that persistence hunts have been recorded as averaging a speed of 6.4 kph. That is pretty much a brisk walk. Those hunts have far more walking than running.
If running was our default movement, then why is the injury rate for running as high as 75% per year, but walking about 1%?
