What are you concerned about? Via video evidence, we saw Nico has done some tough workouts at NAU, but many of those races were too and provided LOTS of experience that were preparing him for the last 1200 in both the 5K and 10K so who cares if he is past his hypothetical time trialing peak or whatever you want to call it. Besides...I bet Nico found them fun. PRs no longer matter. It's who gets over the line first. Besides do you think Mike Smith had Nico doing 2-3 tough track workouts per week since January to complement his weekly volume with the racing he was doing? That would be a hard no.
And I haven't looked at the Paris schedule yet, but I'm willing to be the 10K will be after the sun has set.
