Lol he jogged that race from the front - he is use to Jakob and Kerr, he is just getting through the rounds.
I think he holds back until the 2nd lap and Hocker/him blast away. The semi finals might take a 3:32 to move on and the finals might be a 3:30 race which I think Nuguse can solo.
I thought he looked fine until the home stretch, then I thought he really struggled to the finish. Maybe he just realized he was going to qualify and just did enough to get to the line, but maybe he was losing it.
Yeah, yeah, Slick: We know that all figures of speech are to be interpreted literally, that logic and grammar are the same.
PS The next time you get the urge to go to town on someone for committing this particular sin against the King's English, ask if you this really is the sort of thing up with which you will not put.
How much less could you care? I think you were trying to say you couldn't care less.

I am a big Kessler fan, and really hope the kid makes it this time. However, I saw what I saw, and Hobbs looks like a major problem for everyone. Seems like Kessler always spooks himself in finals and has poor tactics. This 1500 is between Hobbs and Nuguse for spots 1 and 2, in which order, I don't know. Third could go to a number of guys if its a typical wait and kick final.

i think the psychology ideas on laying down a marker in early rounds, are overrated. you do enough to advance. you keep your energy ammo dry for the final. the US is good at this sort of multiround economics, eg, murphy, centro. no one cares after the final if you lay down a first round stunner -- unless you back it up every round.
he looked cool as the other side of the pillow, no laboring, and we know from indoor and last year he has 5-10 more seconds in him. i did think he was a little blase at the end -- i expected more of a jager reaction as the pack caught up -- but is count was right and it really wasn't even close. and i think if nuguse wants -- and it may play out this way -- i think he takes it out much earlier, strings it out, sees who can even stay with at the time he can run. he won't leave himself vulnerable in a kicker finish.
by comparison, holt looked like he was working.
the one i thought looked shaky was mu. she didn't look as lively and just kind of grooved her heat. has no other meets to guess at other gears being in play in a final, or whether the hammy holds up if she has to "go" at the end.

I think 5-10 more seconds in him is a bit of a reach right? So his ceiling is 3:24?
