That was INSANE. I thought the splits were incorrect but she threw a surge at the end that reminded me of Webb, back in the day. And Allie ran a 63 right behind her. Never seen HS girls finish last lap that fast.
Can she reclassify and enroll in college one year earlier, or starting in spring?
How do kids reclassify? In my experience I needed all 8 semesters to meet my schools graduation requirements. Isn’t that what everyone else experienced?
Most kids on academic track are doing way more than the state HS graduation requirements. Also possible to use your freshman college year to cover some missing item and transfer back to your high school. (Cooperative principal helps)
The only real negative of doing this is if you were on track for some HS academic awards, they sort of go out the window.
I would be surprised if Sadie does this, as she has her eyes set on finally a great HS xc season and the 4 peat in Cal track.
This is now done sometimes by football and bb stars looking to shorten the path to a payday. Many go Jan of sr yr to college; easier to hit all the requirements.

I listened to an interview with her, and she definitely sounds excited for her final year of high school. I'm pretty sure she gets that once she departs for Raleigh, her life will never be the same and is trying to enjoy the final stretch of her childhood. She's definitely an interesting kid - she seems to be keeping it all together this year, compared to last year when she admitted to having some struggles adjusting to hitting plateaus and encountering failure. Now that she's pretty much vanquished her rivals at the high school level and done well against pros at their meets, she's going to have a major experience advantage when she gets to the NCAA.
