Four years of eligibility (assuming no med reds or hardships granted), finishes NCAA at age 26
Many elite Africans have global medals and have retired by this age. We still pretend such athletes are still college kids and some celebrate them crushing 19-year-olds as if they were true peers.
What NCAA rule keeps colleges from taking 26-30 year olds that trained in the Army WCAP program and making them "fresh" collegiate athletes once they are discharged? So long as they didn't take prize money, they collected a government paycheck for being a soldier. Their clock didn't run while serving.
