Tbf he also ran 4:00 for the mile back in 2017…so about an 8 second improvement over the course of 7 years. He’s had a great post-collegiate career, but I wouldn’t say it’s anything to be suspicious of. Hoping he continues this breakthrough and finds himself a spot on team USA but it’s going to be very difficult. Would be pretty cool if Binghamton University had two Paris Olympians though (Emily Mackay and Holt were college teammates).
I follow him on Strava. The dude has been training like an animal for the last couple years. Sprint work, big threshold workouts, mileage, altitude, etc.
