It's interesting that he didn't have anything really proven against him but allegations which lacked any clarity, yet coaches/agents out there who are complicit with doping and taking large sums of money from athletes continue to prey on African athletes unabated. Jama Aden continues to coach yet caught with EPO and the corresponding paraphernalia. Then you wonder why there's a doping problem approaching tour de Framce peak levels.
the goucher stuff was pretty bad.
also, while not really caught doping his athletes, i think it's fair to ban someone for experimenting with testosterone on their own children. remove the motivator (finding ways to improve his athletes while evading detection) by banning him from coaching. he wasn't only a danger to his athletes in certain cases, but also to his family. man is truly driven in a very unhealthy way. ran himself into the ground, and then was doing this kind of stuff with his athletes. add that to the goucher sexual assault allegations and they did him a favor by getting him out of the sport.
