Well done Robert Farken. He is back and can do very well in Rome!
Had to gut it out! Only 29.3 last 200. Missed opportunity for Riva tbh. Has a race where he can get into the 3:32s maybe with a fast pace set and comes from way back in 12th to 3rd (55.3 last lap) to run his 4th time between 3:33.5 and 3:34.3. I think he’s gotta run with a little more aggression to get out of the heats in Paris.

Reekie having a strong start to the season with a 1:58 2nd to Moraa in Doha, 1:57.4 in Eugene 3rd to Hodgkinson and Moraa, and 1:57.79 today for the win by nearly a second. Would love to see her sneak in for a medal!

She’s in a rough spot! Always feels like she’s 4th on paper except for Tokyo where Rogers just sniped that bronze medal.
They tell us every time Chase was a state champion sprinter, but I’ve never seen a video of it.
Nor I, but I've never sought it out. She's from NewMexico and I think she won State Champs in 100 meters every year of High Scholl?! Quite a feat while presumably winning State shot title at same meet. Lots of points for that school!

Cory McGee has run sub-4:05 twenty-five times in her career, third most behind Simpson and Rowbury among Americans (Slaney has 21 but may have more since records are often incomplete from the 70's/early 80s). However, she has yet to break the 4:00 barrier. I believe she has truly tapped out her potential and will never see "3:xx" on the clock. I bet she would trade all 25 of those sub-4:05s for one sub-4:00.
