I don't know why anyone would think his peak for the season would be the bowerman mile. He literally broke the 2mile WR indoors and still peaked on time for World Indoors. In 2021 he soloed (i think) a 3:31 in early June before winning British champs and then getting bronze at the Olympics. In 2023, in his 2 DLs before Worlds, he ran 3:30.0 and 3:29.6, just off his 3:29.0 pb. His place wasn't great on the circuit (9th and 3rd), but he was just off his best time ever, and only had to run 3:29.38 to win Worlds.
Only time will tell, but I have no reason to believe he's peaked already. He's been the best in the world for the last 6 months, and it looks like he's only getting better.
I think Josh will have a 326 high in the books if his coach let's him off the leash to run a fast one. I think it's actually going to depend on how fast Jakob and Tim run. If those 2 can't produce a sub 329 soon, Josh is going to go for a fast time.
Recall after the Bronze medal, he partied a bit too much and got behind the eight ball from a fitness standpoint and lost a year. He then got a dietician and someone to cook his meals and got really fit. It seems he has maintained this discipline and may level up to Gold this year

I think Kerr at least was in low 3:28 shape in the Bowerman Mile provided somebody else has been doing the frontrunning. I think he can run well down in the 3:27s if he find a fast race under good conditions. I don´t know if he can dip under 3:27.
I have month ago predicted that Kerr could improve significantly this year both in the 1500m and 800m due to his improved endurance.
--------
I don´t think Jakob will get the chance to run a fast race before DL Monaco. I predicted after the Bowerman Mile that he should be able to improve his 1500m time with at least 2 sec IF HE STAYS HEALTHY.
His Bowerman mile time converts to high 3:28 in the 1500m so that means he should be able to go sub 3:27. Which is what he could have done already last year had he run the 1500m in Brüssel instead of the 2000m.
What’d you expect him to say? “Oh man I think I’ve peaked”?
I mean probably just say nothing is best. But I gotta say they’re turning the 1500 into must see tv.
I have thought for a while now that Josh and Jakob are working this out together. This is the most "Real Housewives of Track" that we've had in a long time and it's all for the cameras and views

Why when talking about Kerr peaking perfectly does nobody mention 2022 Worlds? What place was he there?
