Probably the reason why Niwot had 4 varsity girls transfer in last year (1 of them was sitting out due to injury and will be a senior this fall). Niwot has another varsity girl transferring in from IMG academy this fall
Niwot girls didn't have any transfers on their team this year. I think you're referring to Mountain Vista.
I meant kids will be moving to American Fork that may not have otherwise. AF has a history of being the best, they held the 4xmile record before NP did.
Dallin Harrington of San Clemente (15:28 at CIF State as a sophomore) is moving to Utah and attending American Fork.
Because he moved from another state, he will get to run varsity right away
New rule just passed in Utah saying athletes can transfer without reason and are only penalized with a half season ban. Meaning athletes can transfer and still race by Woodbridge!! Cooper tripp (skyridge 14th at 6a state) and Jackson Spencer (Syracuse 4:15 @ 4500 feet) are both transferring for the upcoming season. NXN is pre determined for the next few years...
A kid from Syracuse is transferring to Herriman? Those schools aren't in commuting range; what a hassle for his parents.

Didn’t the Sahlmans and the Youngs live far away from Newbury Park when they went there?
How does this compare to the NP district in terms of population? I'm not a huge fan of wide-open transfers like this, but I wouldn't be surprised if the two situations aren't all that different.
Colorado has a rule where athletes must sit out for a year since they transfer. Very good rule…. May not be a year, may just be till next season. Not sure if this applies to out of state transfers.

And at NXR, all transfers are allowed in the championship race
Where are the Soles haters now? He's such a terrible coach people actually want to run for him. And weirdly enough his runners at Great Oak could've transferred out, but stayed. Just stating facts. Now press the down arrow you haters.
Not a hater of Soles by any means, but I would like someone to show me what his runners have done at the next level?
I'm not saying they have or have not had success, I'm genuinely curious if anyone has some data points they could share of runners with great success at the next level.

732. Carson Smith (Cal Poly SLO) 3:59.41i* (7) Boston December 02
technically the rule is they must sit out 365 from their last competition (from the old school). So if they got injured or what-not. They can comeback sooner than the official season.
Also in CO, the XC state meet is 366 days from the last state meet this year. So transfers can run in that.

How is that relevant? Did he coach them at the next level?

The rule is that they must sit out half of the varsity or sub varsity season for their first transfer.
The second transfer is where they must wait a year.
