As I predicted Ingebrigtsen is not back in full strength after his injury. Congrats to Kerr.Ingebrigtsen's "Achilles heel" he lack enough natural sprint speed. 🇸🇪🧙🏼♂️🇸🇪
Great job to Kerr. I dont like him but he won the race, again. But I’m really impressed that Jakob opened at 3:45 right with him. Neither is peaking obviously but I’d expect Kerr is sharper just by virtue of having raced a few times this year.
I think this is best case for Jakob- the pressure to win will be a little less now that hes lost twice. Josh will have that pressure now. And I expect Jakob will sharpen up to 3:43 (or lower?) shape by the olympics. Can’t wait for the final there ,wow.
Jakob at 3:45 is very good coming off injury and as a first race. Kerr is on a crazy hot streak and is just continuing that. Jakob will be looking to be getting even more fit.
Ingerbretsen was doing tons of mileage, first outing, I woudn't make that much of this. Nor would I get that riled about Kessler it appears he gets clipped by Hocker back kick or steps on his back foot?,incidental and unfortunate. I re watched twice.

Kerr only raced 3 times though, 2 times in March or before, no?

Mate he just ran 3:45 in his first race for the season. "Lack natural sprint speed". Are you high?
Odds of Kerr winning the Olympic final just went down. Late start to the year for Jakob and he’s that close, and beating nuguse? Most impressive performance imo

This was basically a perfect outcome. Jakob says he likes to win from the front because he wants to show everyone he's better. After WCs, he said Kerr was just the next guy on that day, similar to Wightman the year prior. After being on fire all year, Kerr took it from 600 out to prove that he is just better than Jakob. Jakob didn't even move out to give himself a shot either, not sure what that was about, but maybe he was already defeated mentally idk.
The big 4 of Kerr, Jakob, Nuguse, and Wightman all ran fantastically. Kerr just ran a 3:28 high or 3:29 low equivalent I think, and it's only May. Jakob is coming off an injury, and while he didn't win, 3:45 shows that he's in amazing shape, and certainly still has a great chance of winning the Olympics again. Nuguse is a little worse than Jakob, but he still ran the fastest mile by an American ever besides himself at this meet last year, and he's still 1.5s better than the 4th best guy in the world. Wightman ran 3:47, which is basically as good as he's ever been, and it's only May.
Also shoutout to Gourley for sneaking in ahead of Wightman, that's 3 brits in the top 5. They've certainly got the claim for the hardest team to make. Non-zero chance that a different Brit wins the Olympics this year.
Kerr was only 1.5s off of Jakob's 3:43 from last year, which was at the end of the season. It's only May right now. Kerr got the 2-mile WR indoors. Could Kerr challenge Jakob's 2k/2-mile WRs? For reference, last year Jakob opened up with a 3:32.
