One runner with her - Chebet. So they just slipped off pace - then rallied back ahead of it. I wonder if this slight inefficiency in pace judgement will hurt them in the final km. They just passed the finish line and dropped back again. Tsegay looks strained. But we’ve seen this before with her rallying to do something special in the final 800.
Imagine breaking the WR and losng. One of these women is likely to do that.
Tsegay is amazing. THink about it, she almost broke the 1500 WR in her last race. Now she may get the 10k. Before you think, "That would never happen in men's running." Consider Ingebrigtsen. Could he do something like that?"
