Hard luck for Dever, he went for broke and held on pretty well. I hope it's enough to get him to Paris on the rankings. Again though, a great race and just well-presented. There's a blueprint for presenting track and field here and no one else seems to want to follow it. It's genuinely weird that no one is learning.
The big thing about any event is that when people see it on TV, it needs to make them stop and think "man, I wish I was there for that." Track and field always looks sparsely attended and a bit staid on TV. Night of the 10k PBs is the one event that looks fun to attend
