It was pitch black outside, the cop was wearing a yellow rain jacket which completely covered his uniform. Scheffler thought the guy was just a security guy.
This is embarrassing for the police dept.
Yea I agree, the truth is often in between. Scottie was prob using some license as someone who is the star of the show going around a little traffic back up near the entrance. Who knows if he saw the cop in the pitch dark waving his arms or whatever. Cop has every right to go over and figure out the situation. BUT got way out of hand. Cuffing and stuffing him was the last official duty that guy will have.
I have to give the cop the benefit of the doubt here. Scottie is such a hot head, hated among his peers, notorious rule breaker and generally known as a troublemaker. Not to mention his hooker and gambling addiction
I hope he didn't have any money in his wallet. When the police arrest people, especially and usually drunk people because they can take advantage of them easily, they'll seize their wallets and give them back upon departure, usually with zero cash in the wallet. They'll say, "you were too drunk to remember you had no cash on you" but really they stole the money under the table. This pig tactic needs to be made known widespread public kknowledge. One time I was arrest for public intoxication and the pigs stole the around $1000 cash in my wallet. They also steal money regularly from drug busts. The pigs are a large crime organization not bound by the law or same rules with a culture of protecting/covering for their own.

Unless his wallet had a $100K in it, it wouldn’t be a big deal to Scheffler if the police were to swipe his cash.

That's not the point. The point is the police are thieves.

This is not the same thing as ripping off a drunk. If Scheffler reports having cash removed from his wallet people will believe him, and a potentially bad story for the police will become even worse.
ESPN is reporting he did what players were instructed to do to navigate around traffic. They said he was driving a clearly marked tournament courtesy car, and those cars have priority.

Well they slapped 4 charges on him, so they'll probably ask for 25k each to be dropped under the table, that's 100k total. Nothing to Scottie, more bonus money for the corrupt pigs though.

They don't have priority to drive on the median around a fatality investigation.
