Oh my god, I just got my $100 credit a month ago for the class action settlement for the data breach. Guess i'll start picking out my next pair of shoes that Running Warehouse is buying.
Running Warehouse use to be my favorite, customer for 30+ years. I gave up on them a couple years ago customer service went downhill and other online sources better now.
Sounds like their IT is as dated as their warehouse and catalog model.
What catalog?
So 30 years and a catalog. Head back to Road Runner.
I vote to not try and stick them for the 100 dollars in that class action…. They’re the only real great running store online and still offer FREE 2 day shipping

I had my card/identity stolen a couple of years ago, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how, because I am pretty careful. Not a fun experience, I was without cash and even my venmo wouldn't work... I am guessing now that it might have been this data breach. Based on this guess, not being a computer science/data guy, I entered into the mass arbitration. I really like Running Warehouse, but I really don't like being stranded without money for a couple of days because of an error on someone else's part.
I complained to RW about them sending my email address to 100s of other people, and got the following response, which is just the usual damage control BS. I'm so tired of "we take your privacy seriously," and "protecting your information is important to us," etc. But it's never serious enough or important enough not to let it happen in the first place.
Thank you for contacting Running Warehouse. We sincerely apologize for the recent error that occurred when sending this email. Immediately upon recognizing the error, we stopped sending subsequent emails and corrected the issue. We understand your concerns and have taken steps to ensure this does not happen again. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance. We are happy to help.

I stopped liking them due to their unwavering support of Seth Demoor

Not making any assumptions, but if you happened to shop at Target or Home Depot at any point the several years preceding their data breaches that each leaked the credit card information of tens of millions of their customers adding up to a combined total of roughly half the adult population of the United States, then there's a chance it might have been from one of those. Obviously this isn't proof it wasn't from the RW breach, but no matter how careful you are, there are other possibilities, including some that are a whole lot more likely, unless you literally never use your credit card anywhere else besides RW.
It sounds like you've had a long history with ordering sports gear! It's understandable to mix up companies when you've been a customer for so many years. Regarding Running Warehouse, it's unfortunate to hear about your customer service issues. It can really affect the overall experience.
