I agree that there's no way to know whether the allegations made against Becky Pepper Jackson are true in part or whole. I have no idea.
But the fact that these allegations have been made in a court filing show that efforts to protect girls' and women's hard-won Titile IX rights are ramping up. Girls, women and parents all over the USA are starting to fight back.
Hah, reduxx is a transphobic site, so I’d take its “reporting” with a grain of salt. It’s “she said, she said” at the moment. In any case, “sexual harassment” is a big word to use to describe what kids at that age say. Standard school disciplining practices suffice to keep kids from bullying or engaging in disproportionate reaction to bullying.
Some adults on this site seem to have conveniently forgotten how crude and cruel things kids say can be. It’s part of growing up and learning to behave. Trans kids get the same opportunities to learn and to make mistakes (assuming that even happened) as any other kids.
False for a number of reasons. The Biden administration is not at the heart of this because its new regulations do not apply until August. Its regulations do not ban sex-segregated facilities. They bar discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation. It accepts sex separation where it does not cause more than a minor harm. I disagree with the policy with regard to bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports.
Quite a few trans- identifying people have been killed by (non-trans) men and women as well or harried into suicide, as an Oklahoma girl identifying as non-binary or trans- was a day following a severe beating by three girls at school.
Nex Benedict died Feb. 8, one day after a fight inside a girl’s bathroom at an Oklahoma High School. Their death has renewed scrutiny of anti-trans policies and political rhetoric over gender identity.
I don’t know if the accusing girl(s) is the truth but you have 100% confidence she is? Always believing the accuser would make you a bad good juror for any sexual assault or harassment case.
Quite a few trans- identifying people have been killed by (non-trans) men and women as well or harried into suicide, as an Oklahoma girl identifying as non-binary or trans- was a day following a severe beating by three girls at school.
Please stop telling lies about poor Dagny "Nex" Benedict and exploiting her tragic life and death for your own agenda.
Oklahoma authorities and indepedendent investigators from out of state who reviewed all the evidence found no link between Benedict's heartbreaking death at age 16 and the brief physical fight she had with three other girls in a girls' restroom at their HS the day before.
By her own admission, Benedict herself started the fight in the restroom by walking over to the other girls - who were younger and smaller than Benedict - and throwing water on them. In a taped interview with a school security officer a few hours later, Bendedict said she did this because she got angry when she thought she heard the other girls say "Why do they laugh that way?" about Benedict and the friends she was with at the time.
After the girls she threw water on came at her, Benedict said she threw one of the girls into the bathroom wall where she hit her head on the paper towel dispenser. Then the girls knocked Benedict down and smacked her head into the floor. The whole altercation lasted just seconds.
The preliminary and final medical examiner's report said Benedict's death was not related to any injuries or trauma from the fight. Her death was due to a massive overdose of SSRI antidepressant tablets and Benadryl.
The final medical examiner's report revealed that Benedict was a very troubled teenager who had long struggled with “bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, self-harm (cutting), chronic tobacco abuse and chronic marijuana abuse.”
Benedict's mental health troubles were most likely directly related to the fact that she was abandoned my her mother as a baby, and subjected to physical, emotional and sexual abuse by her father her whole childhood.
In 2019 when Dagny was 11, she was hospitalized for serious self-harm and suicidality. During the hospitalization, it came out that her father, James Everette Hughes, had been sexually molesting her for years. He started raping her when she turned nine.
After accepting a plea deal in which he pleaded guilty to rape and child molestation, Benedict's father was sent to Arkansas state prison for five years in 2019. By then Dagny had moved to Okhlahoma to live with her grandmother.
As part of his plea deal, Dagny's father had to give up his parental rights. This enabled Dagny to be legally adopted by her grandmother.
Bendedict's grandmother said that in 2020, Dagny wrote a letter in which the chid - then 12-years-old - "came out as trans, said they were a boy" and wanted begin using a new name, Nex. In the family, however, Dagny Nex always still went by just plain Dagny and didn't seem to have an issue with being referred to with she/her pronouns.
In late 2023, Dagny Nex Benedict's father was released from prison. Some weeks before Dagny Nex tragically took her own life, she and her grandmother were notified by Arksansas authorities that her father had violated the terms of his plea agreement and sentencing by not showing up for appointments with his parole officer. Arkansas police did not know of his whereabouts. They issued a new arrest warrant and put out BOLOs for him.
Dagny Nex Bendecit's father was caught and re-incarcerated on January 25, 2024. On February 8, Dagny Nex Benedict tragically took her own life at age 16.
Please stop telling lies about the events that led to the death of this poor child.

VIT and 4:20 is not that fast are two of the most detached, braindead, utterly despicable posters on this site. I am shocked to the core that someone can possess such reprehensible cognition. The same goes for newname and flagpole, who have surprisingly not made their appearance yet. Probably because this story deals with the consequences of feeding into mental illness and modern progressivism. These are sick, disturbed individuals who are a threat to women and girls. They cannot comprehend that victims can be made by the actions of a "transgender." They perceive the mentally ill as the victims. They would rather see the girlhood ruined, traumatized, forever in fear of an imposter with ill-intent. These mentally ill are perverted, sexually motivated, inhumane deviants that seek nothing but their own personal gain and pleasure. They do not care for their victims because they are predators. The illogical, devilish modernists have invoked a calamity of great measure onto our daughters, and they do not care. I am sure they share in the pleasure each time a new victim is made. These people must be dealt with.
If you cannot understand the fallacy or pure injustice of the issue that is "transgenderism," you are on the wrong side of reason. You deserve to be cast aside like offal.

Yes, the Biden adminstration's new Title IX rules don't officially come into force until August. But Joe Biden's administration - and the second term of the Obama administration when Biden was VP - are definitely at the heart of the efforts to insure that boys like Becky Pepper Jackson can compete in girls' school sports and use girls' school locker rooms.
Biden was one of the prime movers who helped convinced Obama to okay the "Dear Colleague" letter that the US Education and Justice departments under Obama sent to US school adminstrators in 2016 informing them that "sex discrimination" in Title IX now included discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation as well as sex. This meant that pretty much for all intents and purposes, students who claimed to have an opposite-sex "gender identity" had to be treated as though they were the opposite sex or else a school would be in violation of Title IX.
From the time Biden first took office as POTUS, the Biden adminstration's Department of Justice and Department of Education have provided support and advice in "gender identity rights" cases like Becky Pepper Jackson's - and the DoJ has filed court briefs - claiming that Title IX already means/says that students who claim to "identify as" the opposite sex must be treated as though they are the opposite sex for nearly all relevant purposes such as school toilets, locker rooms and sports.
The Biden admin has also sided with the Connecticut state and local school officials who allowed two male teenagers, Terry Miller and Andraya Yearwood, to compete and clean up in girls' HS track in CT in 2017-2020 in the ongoing Title IX case brought by some of the female athletes who had to compete against the males.
It's no coincidence that the man Biden selected as his Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, is the former head of education for the state of Connecticut. Cardona is an ardent advocate of "gender identity" rights who appears to believe that the "gender identity rights" of male students who wish they were girls and women should be given precedence over the hard-won sex-based rights of female students who actually are girls and women in all situations except in some select highly competitive sports at the HS varsity and college level.
What's more, the only reason Cardona and the Biden adminstration have decided to leave open the possibility of some girl's and women's sports in HS and college being allowed to remain female-only is the huge amount of negative feedback they got when they initially released proposed rule changes that would pretty much put an end to to all female-only sports in all US schools across the board.

She committed suicide. That was the cause of death. The reason she committed suicide was that she was beaten with her head knocked against the floor by other girls who had been bullying her for a long time. Those are all facts.
"The new rules don't specifically mention whether states can ban transgender girls from girls sports competitions. The Biden administration has put on hold a policy that would forbid schools from having outright bans."

The mouth foamers on here just don’t care about a beautiful young life lost coz it’s all just politics and “mental delusion” in their eyes, but if a cis girl loses podium to or, gasp, gets beaten up by a trans girl in a kid’s brawl, it’s all out war.

Yes, Dagny Nex Benedict tragically committed suicide in February of this year at age 16.
But none of the rest of what you claim you is true.
The other girls Benedict got in the fight with hadn't "been bullying her for a long time."
In the taped interview with the school security officer after the fight that the school released and which has been viewed by millions of people, Benedict said she hadn't known the girls she fought with before. She says she only had met them that day when they all were in after-school detention together.
Benedict was in 10th grade at Oswasso HS; the girls she fought with were in 9th grade. They didn't have any classes or lunch period together.
In most high schools, first-year students are on the bottom rung of the pecking order. Ninth grade girls don't usually bully girls in higher grades - especially not girls who are bigger, stronger, tougher who had a reputation for being bossy, difficult, mean, making trouble and being badass the way Benedict did.
Of course, there's a chance that Benedict knew some of the other girls from middle school, or from around town, and their was bad blood between going back several years. But chances of that are pretty slim because the Oklahoma HS they were going to is a centralized one that draws in students from a wide geographic area. Kids at that HS come from something like a dozen different middle schools - and some were home schooled before starting HS.
Dagny Benedict was a very troubled, unhappy girl with serious mental health problems who had tried taking her own life on other occasions in the past. The first known time was when she was 11. This poor child was a victim of years of horrific physical, emotional and sexual abuse by her father from the time she was a toddler until she was 11, when he was finally arrested and jailed.
Please stop insisting that the reason Dagny Nex Benedict killed herself must have been because of the brief fight she got into with some other girls at school the day before.
None of us knows why this troubled teenager tragically took her own life. The letter she left her family has not been made public. But as anyone familiar with the complexities of suicide knows, there's rarely one reason. It's irrespsonsible to simplify suicide the way you're doing.
Also, it's incredibly sexist to try to pin the all blame for Benedict's tragic death on three 9th grade girls that Benedict barely knew and who probably mattered littlle to her in the grand scheme of things whilst completely overlooking the heinous things her father did to her from the time she was a baby until she was 11 - and her loss of her mother too.
Please also think how distressing and incredibly scary life probably was for Dagny in the weeks before her death after her father got out of prison, then went on the run, his whereabouts unknown. Chances are, she was terrified that the man who molested and raped her for years might show up at any moment and either seek to "reconnect" or want revenge on her for ratting him out.

Yes, the new final Title IX rules that have been issued and which go into effect in Augst don't deal with school sports.
But the preliminary rules that were intitialy published in draft form that the public was given a chance to comment on did deal with sports. The preliminary rules in draft form showed very clearly that Biden admin would like the sports issue to be resolved so that many more males will be able to use "gender identity " claims to compete in girls' and women's school sports.
Because of the huge public opposition the draft rules got when they were published, the Biden admin decided to separate out the parts dealing with sports and not issue the final verison of those rules until after the 2024 elections.

Biden and his administration have everything to do with this. The Biden administration has issued new Title IX regulations which make it a violation of US federal law for schools, colleges/universities, and graduate schools that receive federal funds to continue to provide students with sex-segregated facilities such as boys/girls and men's/women's locker rooms, toilets, showers, sleeping quarters on school trips.
Also out will be sex-specific programs and services such as health classes, training sessions and support groups for girls and women related to "female matters" like menstruation and the imapct of the female hormone cycle on sports injuries and performance.
The new rules say that boys and men attending US schools who claim to "identify as" the opposite sex must be given the same exact access to girls' and women's locker rooms, toilet facilites, sleeping accommodations, programs and services as female students.
The new rules work the other way around too: girls and women attending US schools who claim to "identify as" the opposite sex must be given the same access to boys' and men's toilets, locker rooms, sleeping quarters on trips and so on that male students get.
Girls and women attending US schools who feel uncomfortable sharing their toilets, locker rooms and sleeping quarters with male students who claim to "feel like" and "identify as" girls and women - and boys and men attending schools who feel ill at ease about sharing their toilets, locker rooms and bunks with female students who claim to "identify as" boys and men - won't have any recourse, either.
Under Biden's new Title IX, Amercian students of one sex who say they "identify as" the opposite sex must be given unfettered access to all the sex-segregated school and school-related facilities of the opposite sex. If any students who genuinely are the opposite sex object, they can be charged with, and found guilty of, bigotry, discrimination, bullying and harassment based on gender identity grounds.
Why are women so weird? I could not possibly care less if a trans male wanted to use the men's room, men's locker room, play in a game with me, or anything else. It is no different than the reverse other than I'm not a trans phone and just want them to live their lives with acceptance.
