That’s another manifestation of her being scared: excuses. She always has an excuse handy for losing in championship races: just coming off a marathon, too tired from tripling, Ramadan, blah blah blah. The truth is she is too scared to commit to just one or two events because if she puts all her energy and focus into one thing and still loses on the big stage, then she’s utterly humiliated. It’s her worst nightmare.
I know you are trolling, but if I recall correctly Hassan medaled twice in Budapest, beating a fresh Chebet in the process, and then went on to run the 2nd fastest marathon ever in Chicago 7 weeks later. Not to mention she was on track to medal in the 10 too in Budapest. In which of those races was she humiliated? Hassan is getting older and she’s not ranked #1 in any event 1500-marathon, but she’s certainly a medal contender in all of them and a medal favorite in most. She’s won the BIGGEST races on the BIGGEST stages in the sport, and she’s lost them too, but she shows nothing to suggest fear.
You don’t get it. The reason she is scared to commit to one thing now is because she has won gold before. Once someone wins gold, the pressure is extremely high to win again. Her method of reducing that pressure is to dabble in different events and triple. That way she is no longer expected to win, and getting lower medals is seen as exceeding expectations. She won’t win any golds in Paris with this mindset or approach.
The challenge of heightened expectations after winning gold which then creates a fear of losing has also been an issue for Athing Mu. Her response has been to avoid racing. Not good.
Just remember, FEAR can mean two things: Face Everything And Rise or Forget Everything And Run away. It’s sad that this weekend Sifan decided not to rise to the level of Diamond League competition. Instead she ran away to a race with a bunch of 15 minute gals.

I don’t think she’s scared. She has an unusual program being a) US-based frequently b) bouncing all over the place distance-wise. She’ll race some Diamond Leagues in a month or two if she has her eyes on the track at the Olympics. Last year, that 10,000 last 100 was not the best. She looked pretty desperate trying to run interference on Tsegay. Sifan fans probably have to cede that, and hope she sticks to racing within the rules.

Crazy how a tired, sluggish, old Sifan is still a faster closer than Tsegay. Sifan closed much better in the 1500 and 5000 but was way out of position in the 1500. In the 10, she had to swing out to lane four, plus she was relatively out of position at the bell too. No chance Tsegay beats Hassan in Paris unless the pace is very fast and she burns the kick out of Hassan
I told y’all Sifan is a shell of her former self. Tonight’s result proves I’m right. With her current form, she had good reason to be scared of racing Chebet.

Did you watch the race? She was jogging 50 meters ahead of the pack. It was a workout for $. Keep telling your story, I’m sure it will help you sleep better.

Once again I have been proven correct. Chebet smashed the world record in the 10k and Hassan got smoked in the 5k. I will now accept apologies from everyone who doubted me.

Sifan improved herself massively in two weeks dude, dunno where your brains are wandering.
