I'm guessing they could at least hold their own against Austin Westlake.

Wow! I didn’t realize Bridgeport had that much talent coming back. Combine that depth with a likely top 1-3 scorer and you can win.
I apologize, I meant to say “Bridgeland”
Which boys teams will make it out of 6A region 1 (Southlake Carroll’s region)?
I think that top 4 in that region will be (in no particular order):
Southlake Carroll - returning 4 guys from the NXN-podium team and another sub-10 guy
El Paso Eastwood - losing 4 varsity guys but they always reload. Some guys stepped up during track and one of their returners made NXN individually
Northwest Nelson - took 6th in the region and returns everyone. One of their guys ran an 8:55 in the 3200
Coppell - had a rebuilding year after losing many guys from the 2022 state team. But this time they return their #3-6, and a couple of more guys who stepped up during track. Now it wouldn’t be surprising if they qualify after taking 5th in the region last year
McKinney Boyd and El Paso Franklin lost a lot of guys.

Will be tough to beat Southlake Carroll and Austin Vandegrift though
Predictions of what boys teams will make it to the state meet out of 6A region 2 (not in this order necessarily):
Bridgeland - won the region and returns everyone, including the 3200 state champ Montgomery.
The Woodlands - took 4th in the region with pretty much a new team after losing almost the entire varsity from 2022. Returns 7 sub-10 guys and another 4:25 incoming sophomore.
The Woodlands College Park - returns 4 guys from the section meet. 1600 returning times are 4:11, 4:16, 4:18, 4:22, 4:27.
Waxahachie - 5th in the region last year and returns everyone. They return 4 sub-10s and another 10:11 incoming junior and a 10:17 incoming sophomore
8th grader 9:11 in 2 mile
