9 months less and they would say 16, isn't this the kind of arguments we see frequently in this forum?
You can’t claim that the guys age is wrong because he ran unrealistically fast for a 16 year old as a 17 year old. The argument is so dumb it makes my head hurt.
If by outdated you mean hasn’t changed at all in years - then yes. Entire group does the same workouts regardless of event, or time of year. There’s a published case study of Stewy’s training over the course of a year and you can see there’s essentially no periodization outside of the last month or so of the season. Which probably explains why MTC traditionally does poorly at major champs.
Jakob does the same training for majority of the year as well. Same with Nordas. They only make a small change leading into championship races, just like Stewy and MTC.
Jakob is using a training system that has only been popularized in the last 5-10 years. MTC is using the same program Peter Fortune was using in 1996.
How many finals did MTC make across all events, male and female, at the last 2 major champs?

I agree with you, 9 or more months out of the year Jakob is doing double thresholds with one V02 Max sessions a week (hills) whereas 9 months out of the year MTC is smacking 8xK on a Tuesday, 30min threshold on a thursday (which from what I can tell from the for the kudos podcast is running "hard" for 30mins) and some form of hills on a saturday.

Correct. And they do it as a group - which means by default many of them are running with Stewy, or at least trying to stay with him. So while it might be "threshold" for Stewy, it's likely not for most of the others in the group. There is no individualisation, no periodisation. Cookie cutter program, one size fits all (800-marathon).
Everything Jakob does is based around what Jakob needs. If he's doing double thresholds, chances are it's based precisely on the pace he needs, with physiological feedback (HR/lactate) to ensure he's in the right pace zones. So there is a fair bit of difference there.

8 x1k on a Tuesday, 30 minute tempo on a Thursday and hills on a Saturday. Sounds similar to Jakob. I get it, MTC isn’t doing double threshold sessions. Likely the slower guys aren’t executing properly. But the training doesn’t sound all that different.

Jakob is doing 2 days of DOUBLE treshold, incl. 25 x 400m, 12 x 1000m and 5-6 x 2 or 3 km.
That's a new world record for 17 year olds too. Beating Andreas Fjeld Halversen's previous mark by about a second.
There is a hell of a lot africans U18 who have ran much better. And neither Andreas nor Cameron Myers qualify for U 18, but U20. BTW not Halversen but Halvorsen. But another Norwegian Håkon Moe Berg (17) might be capable of running sub 7:47 this year, and sure also Andreas.
Every high school kid in America's heads are exploding.....how does he run so fast! Simple consistent training.
Nah.
Its that plus no mental limitations.
They see others do it, so they don't have a block.
Look at letsrun joggers. They see good performances as outliers, not expectations. So they keep running slowly. Its especially bad when girls run faster.
These kids are running without any preconceptions, while most here are measuring every yard, every breath, every session likes guidance from god
Chemist Warehouse is basically the equivalent of Walgreens or CVS. What you call a pharmacy is called a chemist here (ie in reference to the medicinal chemistry in pharmaceuticals).

The "consistent training" in Myers' case is reportedly about 50mpw. That's schoolboy level. If any of you think that's all it takes then you haven't been following the history of the sport.
