Will Ed reload the Cougs with both of them?

I get that. I agree with that. I've had to have the same conversation with hapless HS and Youth officials that don't quite understand it.
My confusion is that this occurred while running in the alley during a 2-turn stagger. I was just wondering if the common interpretations apply in that circumstance or not. In my head the alley's purpose is to make the distance run equidistant without having to have a large field on just the one waterfall line. Does running inside of the straight on a 2-turn stagger reduce the distance run and is that a violation? I don't know, that's why I was asking.
It was a great run, good for him. I was just taken aback by the 11(!) steps inside and my initial reaction was "That doesn't seem right". It's in the past, it's not going to change, I'm just curious.
Not sure if you're serious, but if you are running on a straightaway veering inside and then getting back to the correct lane in time for the turn adds distance. He gained no advantage from the mental mistake and in fact it was a slight disadvantage because it hurt his positioning as well. The only grounds for a DQ in this sort of case would be using a move on the inside to make an inside pass (let's say). But that clearly wasn't the intent or outcome here. So the two instances to DQ would be if he a) ran the turn in the wrong lane b) made a positional gain in the wrong lane on the straightaway
JoJo to Wake Forest. Danny to BYU.
Just watched the video. Simmons must have lost between 1-2 seconds lapping the other runners, although, reeling them in probably motivated him to run faster. That 5K NR isn't going down anytime soon.
I respect BYU and the religious aspect, but I really hate that top talent goes there to only take a 1-2 mission right off the bat. I'd love to see Simmons as a freshman next year like normal kids, rather than ending up a 26 year old senior running fast times.

Thanks for your reply. I’d say that will work out just fine.
