In terms of what they can do on the world stage it is Wolfe and it’s not close. Valby will need to be able to train more if she wants to be competitive. Wolfe is still a lot younger and the way he runs is more likely to see success
we’re always complaining about pro runners going MIA for months at a time.
Not me. I couldn't care less where Katelyn Tuohy is now. I mean, I hope that she is OK, but if she disappeared from the running scene it is no skin off of my teeth.
She is going in the 5k and 10k. Wolfe isn't going.
Parker Wolfe is 20 years old. The question of the thread was who has a brighter running future. It remains unclear but it is not a silly question.
It's obvious wolfe, he has the wheels to make something happen in a championship race. Valby doesn't have the speed to ever contend for a medal on the track at the world stage. Valby doesn't have the durability to move to the marathon.

That is my take also. When I started the thread in March, many posters were sleeping on Wolfe and some were gushing over Valby. But I think you nailed it.
Valby but whether she likes it or not. She needs to learn to draft and develop a kick instead of doing 98% of lead work and getting beat in the end. She has proven she’s talented and proven she can learn ways to improve. Now she’s racing pros she has more learning to do.

Yeah, Wolfe was kinda overshadowed by nico young. But no longer! After last night, he's vaulted into the stratosphere of US distance running fame. I'm sure his life will be changed, from this point on.
He'll start getting pro offers from this point onward. and he's only 20?
