Ingebrigtsen is holding 4 Aces...Ever think that this is his response to losing at Worlds last year? Make the competition think it's worse than it really is? My bet is he will be ready come August
He will win Gold...It's a long stretch that Kerr stays at the level he is at 6 more months. Even so 8:00 with a pacer for 3000m does not compare to 7:54 with a pacer for 2000m
my theory: he's faking injury in order to train through World Indoors and focus on the Olympics without people saying he's dodging Kerr. Probably pumping out 140+ mpw as we speak

Kerr's strength in the 3000 last year also did not compare to Ingebrigtsen but he still beat him in the 1500 WC. Kerr compared to Kerr looks better at the 3000 this year, and Ingebrigtsen compared to Ingebrigtsen looks worse due to the injury. Yes of course that can all change and I don't know that I would bet Kerr over Ingebrigtsen for a 1500 gold, but I would definitely bet the field over Ingebrigtsen.

My theory is he's faking injury because he's afraid to race Kerr
I've been running with achilles tendonitis since last summer. It hasn't got worse (in fact it's 50% better). But tendonitis / tendinopathy is something that sticks around for a long time. If he truely wants to get over it he either needs to wear a boot and do nothing for a couple of months or get steroids on it.
This is the most stupid take ever, put a boot on for a month = Bone density loss that will take months or may never truly be regained. Tendon need load he needs isometric and heavy eccentric work to load it and maybe stay away from the super shoes for a bit

Yes, resting is not the most effective long term approach. The Alfredson protocol was the gold standard treatment for Achilles tendinopathy. It's a 12 week program using eccentric heel drops. Created in 1998 and modified in 2008. It worked well for me though i haven't read up on this in decades and there may now be something better.
The majority of non-operative treatments for IAT have insufficient evidence to support treatment recommendations, with exercise and ESWT as notable exceptions. Exercise has the highest level of evidence supporting the ability...
Injuries suck but it might actually be a mental boost to go back to being the hunter instead of the hunted for a bit. I think he’ll throw up some duds for a while til about mid summer and then have an epic comeback revenge show in Paris. The decade of aerobic base will kick in at some point.
Jakob not only will win Gold, but he's going to explode the field and win by the largest margin ever in Olympic history.
I have insider knowledge that his brother Filip is coming back to peak form, and their plan is to qualify for the final and sacrifice himself. Filip is going to play the pacer for Jakob, and we're talking 3:26:5X pace.
Insider knowledge? Did you speak with Filips training partner Jacob, i.e. with c?

He tore part of the tendon. Whys he on the treadmill if it's all good now? Face it he's screwed. GO SCOTLAND.
