Every time I watch this dude race a 1500m, he looks like he was always straining from the start and somehow he runs 3:28 and beats Nuguse that one DL. Then he bombed out of the semi final 1500, then somehow finishes silver in the 5k. Afterwards he finishes his season with a 3:40 1500m. He’s had some below average performances and world champion level like performances. Very odd.
Anyone know how many are cleared, when they first incur a wherebouts failure?
As many of his athlete colleagues in the sport have pointed out for years, there is no reckless stupidity, there is painfully simple compliance, or evasion.
At least one athlete in the past 5 years has won an appeal regarding the “app”, but I can guarantee whatever genius loophole his lawyer was playing was eliminated shortly thereafter.
this app and process has to work for thousands of global athletes on a daily basis, to such a high degree of legal scrutiny that claiming innocence ONLY PUBLICLY AFTER YOUR THIRD VIOLATION AND LOSS OF APPEAL doesn’t say much about their innocence or evidence in support of their morals and ethics.
Be like Craig Engels, post your clean missed tests page and clean TUEs page. if you can’t do that, then publically disclose who fuc ked up ON YOUR FIRST MISSED TEST and tell the world how it can never happen again.
The worst part? half of the naive idiots on this board and around the world are already in “wasn’t caught DOPING, start the 2 year stopwatch, he’s not a cheater” mode.
Missed tests on: June 6, 2018 January 16, 2019 April 26, 2019
Clearly, three missed tests within a 12-month period (three missed in 324 days to be exact).
However, he appealed that the first test should be backdated to the first day of the testing period, which was April 1, 2018. That made the first and third test about three weeks longer than twelve months. His appeal was upheld and in September he won the World Championship in Doha.

What? Why? Each 12 month period starts at a fixed date? On Apr 1st ?? Hilarious.

I think we all saw this coming.
Does this give any more credibility to El Guerrouj potentially being clean?
He's gotta be one of, if not the most consistent high level 1500 runner in history with all his sub 3:30 performances and world titles.
He's one of the most obvious dopers on the circuit. Hopefully they can nab some of those top women running just over 14 minutes too or the world beating Ugandan dopers soon.
But you don’t want them to nab any world beating westerners..?
I don’t want to speak for him; but given his history of comments regarding doping, I’m sure he wants all dopers busted (regardless of nationality). Actually, I think it would be embarrassing if the American middle/long distance runners were doping when comparing their results to the rest of the world.
