Keep an eye on Tinoda Matsatsa in the mile. Not hard to imagine him running 3:55ish, having already run 1:46.87 & 2:18.05 and gone undefeated (4 for 4) in individual events as a college freshman.
Read up on Matsatsa. Seems to be way ahead of Nuguse at the same age.
Here is a crazy thought... Could Valby's 5k CR go down?
Frerichs is supposedly in good shape right now. Rodenfels, Venters, Hasz, and several others will all be going for the standard. Lemnegole is seeded at 15:10... and Tuwei (though only seeded at 15:30) runs around 31:xx consistently on the roads 10k.
Interesting perspective.
With so many "emerging elite" pros like Rodenfels, Donaghu, Werner, etc wanting to get as close to the 14:52 Oly Q as possible . . . we may not see a sub-14:52 . . . but likely a couple or more sub-15s . . . and (14:40/5k road) Doris Lemengole/AL could be in that group . . .
That women's 800 team is gonna be toughhh to make.
That's what they said last year and a woman made the 800 team without even breaking 2 minutes. That's why they run races, because you never know what can happen.

Yeah, last year Rose was pretty gassed by the Olympic Trials. Whittaker and Roisin Willis weren't near their best. And runners like Sage Hurta-Klecker, Allie Wilson and Ajee Wilson looked like shells of their former selves. There's huge potential, but it feels like only Mu, Akins and Rogers have been reliable of late.
The BU tracks was already notoriously fast, then this year was resurfaced with a state of the art track surface that is advertised as bringing older tracks up to world class standards, and then the records began to fall. Seems noteworthy.

Your definition of "noteworthy" is anything that might make runners who aren't named Touhy look bad.
The NCAA 5000m record fell three times in a matter of weeks on the track, and a number of other superfast times were run. Deflect all you want, but that is still the reality.

Give me a break. Lots of records were set on that track BEFORE the track was recently redone. You are well aware of that fact, but conveniently choose to ignore it, because it doesn't fit your narrative of claiming that Touhy is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
some fast times in W mile - Asekol of Al 4:26.47 for 3rd with Maatoug on her heels in 4:29.22
That was quick.
No uncertainty about Yee's jump in fitness this year: 8:38 last wkend (10-sec pb) and 4:24 today (first ever sub-4:30). Yee didn't advance beyond the steeple heats at Worlds last summer, I imagine she anticipates a different result in Paris.

she just said her goal is Olympics final
Same for Markezich and McCabe, I'd think, but Yee looks likelier than either to get it done. For now.
