Don't waste your time on these people. In a few generations they won't matter. Their civilisation has passed its peak and they don't even care because they're trapped by their stubbornness and won't change. This is reflected in their unchangeable self-image and narcissism, necessarily so for them to survive. It is exactly that that will diminish them into a corner and eventually to nothing.
The high schooler is not going to date you no matter how much you defend her online. Put your tongue back in your mouth and get back to work.
There are far better countries and cities in the world, particularly in Asia. The dollar and its debt and the petrodollar is falling out of favour.
The reason people are making such a stink about her age is because that is what the term "high school girl" is a proxy for --- age! When an American hears that phrase, we assume you are talking about a person who is a) in high school and b) between 14-18 years old.
That has to be obvious to the OP. So when we find out the person you were writing about is turning 20 this year and comes from a country that has traditionally struggled to provide precise birthdays for athletes born in rural areas, don't be surprised that we are skeptical of your post.
This doesn't make us racists. We just don't consider a 20 year old Kenyan who is living and racing in Japan (like a pro) to be a "high school girl."

This thread was started by the seriously out of touch (possibly even autistic) Mr. Burke - an uber American who sees the world through a very narrow lense. Why the mention of High school even needed to be included is part of that perspective of his, heaven knows. But then many Americans are obsessed with HS accomplishments, while the rest of the world focuses on age-groups. Her birth year, real or imagined, could have been included to allow the reader to better ascertain the value of the result - but i guess that was too much to ask from Mr. Burke.
