Sara Hall and Keira D'Amato must be doing back flips. As well as all of the long shots.
There were 7 studs most of the field wasn't touching - Aliphine Tuliamuk, Sara Hall, Molly Seidel, Keira D'Amato, Betsy Saina, Emily Sisson and Emma Bates. Now 2 of the 7 are out and a third has openly been struggling with an injury.
That comment is another one typical of Americans who are out of touch. There are tens of thousands of colleges in the world. Notre Dame is a top 100 school. My brother attended Princeton but was rejected by Notre Dame. I ran for Wisconsin but was only an aversge student.

sounds like the end of her career as she'll continue dealing with injury and setback after setback and fade into obscurity. But at least she can show her kids one day about the olympic medal

You seem as if you’re experiencing a sense of schadenfreude over all of this. Join the other losers.
I don't understand how some posters seem to get satisfaction out of this update. What the hell is wrong with some of you guys?
It’s really sad. There are a lot of people on here that feel they constantly need to belittle others and enjoy seeing others fail because it makes them feel better about themselves.
She has an Olympic bronze medal. She could retire tomorrow with an amazing career, there isn’t much room for improvement from there.
No matter what she does some posters here will complain about her even if she had the world record and several gold medals. Everything from she still isn’t the goat, something about her looks, to her attitude, or social media use. Some people just get off on tearing others down.
Seems like you don't like every poster so why do you expect every poster to be a fan of every runner? Running is less popular than football or basketball because people are put down for being fans of some athletes while not being fans of others. Fans of the NFL love their favorites and hate most other teams. They love some players and despise other players. Imagine being put down for saying that Aaron Rodgers is arrogant and I don't like him.

There’s a difference between not liking someone and not liking someone and then posting about it on an anonymous forum.
There are plenty of athletes in all sports that I don’t particularly care for. Most people have athletes and other personalities that they don’t like. Normal people, though, don’t post about it anonymously on forms like this. Yeah, I’m posting anonymously but I also don’t drag runners like Molly through the dirt. If losers like you had any sack you would register your real name and post under that.
She is an Olympic Medalist. That is an incredible accomplishment.
Marathon running takes a huge toll on the body. Good luck to her as she tries to figure out what's next. The possibilities are numerous for a 29-year-old who has her level of discipline and determination.
Rojo, I don't think Hall or D'Amato are relishing in their competitors being injured. Needing a thinned down field is a loser mentality and if they feel like they need Bates and Seidel out they aren't making the team anyways.
Both are experienced marathoners and know anything can happen and are going to just put themselves in the best place they can to qualify.
First of all, I have always been a fan of her. My brother is the same age so I saw her run a lot. Second of all, millions of people post about NFL amd NBA athletes. There is downright hatred and love for athletes. If that was encouraged in track amd field, there would be more interest. Thirdly, you called me a loser. Nobody has called Molly a loser but you are quick to do it. So you formed that strong of an opinion about a person based on a few written sentences but others are not allowed to feel that way about people who they have witnessed for many years?
