I just feel bad bcuz his coach left the yr he got there. He would’ve definitely been running 1:46. I woulda followed him lol
Encouraging
Very solid early indoor mark..300M track or not, still very solid winning.
That's a great 600m time. Go Cade.
A 10th grader ran 1:17 a few weeks ago and didn’t even win the race
Per milesplit
1:17.49 for 600m converts to...
800m = 1:46.94
I put it at 1:48. Two high schoolers ran 1:17 and they aren't in 1:46 shape.
Very good but it doesn't diminish college guys running 1:17. 5 Hugh school kids ran 1:47 last year. That doesn't make 1:47 slow for college.

What source do you use? Milesplit says just under 1:47

Aren't those kids 400m specialists?
400m specialists can usually beat 800m specialists of the same quality at 600m

That's what I came up with. 1:46.94, to be exact.
Flatt is the anchor for ole' Miss today in the 4x400.

1:17.5 on flat track is pretty decent for mid January. with the little improvement in his speed you have to assume his strength side has gotten a lot better and will show in the 8. I expect 1:45 or lower by outdoor championships
Its a 300m flat track - almost like running outdoors
1:17.49 x 1.39m = 1:47.71 in any event.
Real life. 8 guys in the Big 10 ran 1:16 or faster indoor last season. Only 6 guys ran 1:47 or faster.

Apples to oranges.
600m is dominated by 400m specialists more than 800m guys.
Also cherry picked.
Big Ten? The conference Flatt does not compete in?
Didn't mean to cherry pick. Just listed a conference that I knew ran the 600. Feel free to list another one.
