Crested Butte has a different set of problems. From the Gunnison County outlook, 1) people are reluctant to allow large, established business in which creates a multitude of socioeconomic disadvantages county wide and 2) this place has developed a serious degeneracy problem over the past three (de)generations.
In Crested Butte specifically, many of the town's inhabitants migrate there without a plan, a degree (sometimes high school) or any financial backing. Then, when people who do arrive financially sound and with a plan, the local inhabitants lacking on those fronts become jealous and point the finger, crying that it is unfair.
The Town of Crested Butte has a few coffee shops and a ski resort but that's really about it. The standards in this town are ecceptionally poor.
