Turns out she owns a coffee shop and gourmet bakery. I’ll be working remotely, so plan is to just set up shop and work from the coffee shop and hope she shows up. Will then just act surprised to see her like I had no clue the shop is hers or that she was living in the town.
You won’t have to feign surprise when her muscle bound husband rings you up, then rings your scrawny neck.👍🏼
I think it’s safe to say the OP will not be updating this thread after contact is made. LOL
Ok I feel really dumb about this, but it turns out she’s living in the same town as my uncle and aunt. Literally just finagled an invite to go visit them right after the holidays. Not sure exactly how I’m going to play this though. Would obviously require a lot of luck to just hope I randomly run into her, but could be weird to reach out like “hey I noticed you’re living in X and I’m in town for a few days“ just because we weren’t really friends even back then. Guess I have a few days to figure it out!

Weird. My second cousin owns a coffee shop and bakery.
This is your best bet. Best case scenario: she should appreciate you making the effort to reach out to her. Worst case scenario: she will have zero interest in you and be in a completely different "space" with her personal life.

Hope you don’t like the coffee or pastries too much, because I’m guessing you won’t be allowed within 100 yards of the store again.
Hasn’t worked out as planned so far, but I’m feeling energized just being “in the game.” She seems to stay in the back of the shop while her staff takes care of the upfront stuff, but it’s one of those kitchens you can see into from the front. Tried to make eye contact a few times and even though I saw her looking at me one, but she never recognized me. They closed early for the holiday so had to call it earned. Tomorrow if I have similar luck I’ll just go to the girl at the counter and tell her that I think I recognize the person working in the back and ask her to send her out (probably should have just done that today but didn’t think of it).
