I think a "grandpa" by the name of Luis runs in Hoka and last year ran a 3000 in 7:29 and a 5000 in 12:52 while wearing them.
I'm in my late 30s so closer to "grandpa" age than Luis is. I like Sauconys but am just a hobby jogger. Last year I ran a 5K road race in 15:40 and a 10: in 32:30. If I switched to Nike I guess I could break 13:00 in the 5K and more than likely sneak under 30:00 in the 10K.
You do you, though.
Luis wears Hoka because they pay him , just like Sketchers paid Meb and he had ti wear them. No Elite is wearing Hoka because they want to wear them.
ON will actually hurt you. Honestly if you know anything about running shoes you’ll realize they suc
Saucony is just clunky and junk
Hoka is for grandpa walking around

"Grandpa" Grijalva is probably not getting the Hokas we see at shoe stores. Whatever Hoka One One is distributing to the public is far too cumbersome on the heel and that has been my problem with Hoka from the start.
There's no way Hokas weigh less than 10.5 ounces and that's pretty heavy.

This is one of the stupidest takes on this forum. Yes, they are getting paid, but they chose to sign with those companies.
Nike makes superb racing shoes, but their daily trainers are a complete joke. Who the hell wears stoneage Pegasus? Vomero? Structure? Endorphin Speed is lightyears ahead of Zoom Fly etc.
agreed! The saucony endorphin speed is my all-time favorite shoe! I've had 5-6 pairs of them spanning from the V.2 to the V.3. Never had the V1. But yea, definitely ran well over 2,500 miles in the Speeds. The best of the best.
