My Dr who recommended the 1st Covid vaccine (which I got) does not recommend the latest one nor does he recommend the RSV vaccine. He did recommend the shingles vaccine for me.
Another Dr I see does not recommend the shingles vaccine.
They both recommend I continue to eat well and keep myself fit.
Who on Earth doesn't recommend the shingles vaccine? Shingles is so awfully unpleasant and the vaccine is so effective that it's pretty much a no-brainer.
“They” get paid for every shot they administer. Get a new doctor. This one doesn’t care about your health.
Do you have any evidence that supports your accusation? Because I have never heard that before. And I even bothered to look it up and I don't see anything to that effect.
I doubt what you are saying is true because my doctor doesn't administer the shots. I get my vaccines elsewhere and the doctor just asks me if I got them or plan to get them. I get my shots at a pharmacy unaffiliated with the hospital the doctor works for.
If you want my opinion, I have seen this many times, and with several of my doctors - what they do care about, besides my health, are those questionnaire/surveys I get sent by their employer asking me how satisfied I was with my care provider, and how likely I would be to recommend their services to others. Honestly, the docs have alluded to these surveys more than once. And I consider that fair, for what that is worth.
My doc recommended the flu and SARS-CoV-2 boosters this fall for me, but not the RSV (yet). I already got the shingles shot.

Troll thread, but my understanding is that the potential side effects from the current RSV vaccine are significant enough that it's recommended only for particularly high risk populations.
I guess I fall into what might be considered a high risk group in terms of the RSV vaccine. I don't know if it is recommended for everyone.
This isn't a troll thread per se. I am just tired of how posters with what seems like fringe views post their views in an inordinate quantity relative to the more prevalent posters representing the status-quo.

Completely genuine in that regard.
You're just a normal person doing a normal thing by listening to your doctor. The jabbering anti-vax whackadoos talk a lot, but they make up a fairly small percentage of the population

I saw my doctor, the same one I have had for many years, and they suggested that these three were important for protecting my health.
He also explained that they were safe and effective.
I have all three, and so does my spouse. I worry about those that won't get vaccinated, and I worry about the fact that some people might be unknowingly spreading infections to vulnerable people because they won't get vaccinated.
I just want to share this bit of advice. But you probably know that already. Maybe.
Are you old and/or fat? Then yes- by all means, help yourself.

Well, that's subject to interpretation.
If you mean old and fat, like Donald Trump old and fat, then no, not like that. And that's not a good look, to say the least.

"Worry" is the key to understanding the mind behind this post.

That's impossible. Vaccines are safe and effective.

I looked into the RSV vaccine and in fact, it is recommended for at risk groups including those over 60 y.o., though while those not at risk may choose to get it, health professionals aren't necessarily recommending that they do.
I am sure there is a more precise way of saying this, but that is the gist of it.
It is safe and effective, it's just how much the benefits are needed if you are not at risk of particularly bad outcomes if you get RSV.
Get a clue, dude. Those vaccines have nothing to do with preventing the spread of the affliction, just the intensity of effect on already compromised individuals.

you either forgot or accidentally omitted that the vaccinated also get & spread as this actually isn't a vaccine.
