Is it enough to convince AK to put her on the plane to Paris?

would they take into account her winning silver in the last games?

One would hope so, but who knows with AK?
Obiri
Ruth
???

Ruth is a NO for me with her DNFs and inability to win with actual competition in the race
and the fact that she positive splits horribly.
I think its gonna be
Obs
Peres (But this one has to win something between now and June)
and Brigid
Brigit has certainly increased her chances. She has gone out of her way to show intent and desire by participating and winning in a race only 1 month after a solid race She had in NYC.It send the right message to AK selectors and answers the questions about her fitness and come back from injury. I think so far only Obiri has an assured place in the women's team.Increasingly it looks like it will be
Obiri
Jepchirchir
Brigid Kosgei
Unless someone else has an extra ordinary performance between now and spring 2024.
I think we have our 3: Peres, Obiri and Brigid.

I’ll still have Ruth

Absolutely agree. I watched the replay of the race, and it was impressive to see. Obviously a slow time, but the conditions there never render fast times.
Her winning AND breaking the course record definitely shows an incredibly strong desire to represent Kenya at the Olympics.

Which is Wiiiild because she's the former half WR holder with that 64.02
i mean she's the Kenyan Record holder for goodness sake
what sabbaticals does her form take
has she won another half since?

Idk, she is no longer a HM stud. But her marathoning is consistent when she’s not DNFing.

Do we worry about Peres’ recent DNS on the eve of NYC?

She explained what it was and claimed AK assured her that she and Eliud would get bys.

There aren't any BYEs in team Kenya if she doesn't run a marathon between now and June, and run it well
the team might be Ruth, Brigid and Obiri with her as a reserve
