I’m guilty of assigning too much negativity and judgement on LRC towards runners who are vastly superior to my meager accomplishments. We shouldn’t idolize any person, yet there is far too much predictions of future failure than future success. I want both Katelyn and Parker to have long and successful professional running careers. The truth is that running at the high level is one of the hardest sports to achieve success. Sheila Reid won two NCAA XC titles, but had a short and non noteworthy pro career. This shouldn’t take anything away from those two championships.
