I just want to see Valby run below 15:20 for the first time in her life.
At least we’ve seen her demonstrate that on the grass already (straight-up conversion of the SEC race, which was by multiple parties to be close to accurate in distance), and that’s without factoring the warm race conditions.

If it was astro that downvoted this, can you please explain what you are having trouble with in understanding a straight-up Daniels ‘equivalent’ conversion? There is no ‘hand-waving’ in that conversion. Plug her SEC 18:38 into Daniels’ Calculator for the 5k equivalent, on a similar course in similar conditions.
Tuffy is reporting that Tuohy will turn pro but stay in Raleigh and train under Henes....
If that is really the plan, then to me it makes more sense to just stay in school or redshirt.
She already graduated. Does she want a graduate degree? If not, what is the benefit to her (not the fans) to stay in school longer, putting off going pro?

But what is the benefit to going pro if she is not changing anything (coaches, team, location, altutude)? If she redshirts she gets free coaching, use of facilities, NIL, and a chance for a better outdoor NCAAs if she wants it. She could do post bacc or grad classes...

(1) I assume one “benefit” would be getting paid more.
(2) The “chance for a better outdoor”, cuts both ways, as more and more athletes continue to catch up with her, and maybe in some cases, surpass her.

She would still get use of the facilities w Henes coaching. Staying in school means just that- schoolwork, papers, class, midterms. Going pro she can focus on training; recovery, nutrition, weights, traveling to the best meets around the world without having to explain to her professor what she’s missing class again. I don’t think people realize how hard it is to juggle both. Look at the leaps and bounds athletes make when they can just focus on their sport. Doing both is HARD. Yes she’s succeeding but how much better can she get doing just track. No other focus.
But yet she is endorsing products on her Instagram... I mean she has two NIL deals... I'm not saying she's seeking unnecessary attention... I mean good for her, but I'm just saying it's not like she's a recluse either...
Look the best decision for everyone is for both of them to stay in school...
