I feel like what I wrote was pretty reasonable. Not really assigning blame to anyone in my situation. But I think it's fair to say that that runner has had dudes do stuff like this to her. Not trying to add to that intentionally. If a similar situation comes up, I can turn around for a few minutes. No big deal. No reason to go the sensitivity route. It's about trying to be decent to others.
Dude, what you did was creepy AF. You passed her, slowed so that she could pass you back, and then you passed her again! You're right that It is fair to say that she has had dudes do stuff like this because you were at least one. My situation was completely different. I didn't seek her out, didn't pass her multiple times or anything like that. It's hilarious that you share your story where you're incredibly out-of-touch (at best) and then say it's about trying to be decent to others.
The poster "might not be a troll" gets it. I've done the same where I don't turn immediately around where I had planned to because some woman just passed. In this instance, it wasn't their fault they happened to come by when they did. I wouldn't go any further than 1/4 mile out of my way, but that's just me.
And, yes, We Ride at Dwad makes a good point. Normally, I would be more friendly and less awkward, but it was the first time I've seen her on the trail and I can't talk as easily during my tempo runs (which I always run too hard because I don't run consistently enough).
