Almost entirely sure he rarely drinks and most definitely doesn't during race seasons..
Entirely sure based on what? Because he trains so rigorously and would not consume anything that could possibly affect a training day, or has he ever talked about his diet/alcohol intake?
Word out of Norway is that Henrik won the burping contest after the beer mile by laying down a 14 second monster that sounded like a crocodile swallowing a warthog.

This is how Jakob Ingebrigtsen got drunk On his own birthday, Jakob Ingebrigtsen (23) got drunk with a "beer run" and a pink cowboy hat. This is shown by photos brother Kristoffer has shared on the training app Strava on Tuesday.
Ingebrigtsen came straight from the Diamond League final in the USA to the bachelor team in Sandnes. Next Saturday, the runner will marry Elisabeth Asserson.
On elder brother Kristoffer Ingebrigtsen's open Strava account, with almost 10,000 followers, he has shared several photos from the evening where brothers Henrik and Filip also participated.
The group of friends organized a so-called "beer mile" in honor of Jakob Ingebrigtsen at Sandnes stadium. There seems to be little sports drink, but a lot of the Mexican beer Corona, available to the participants.
- It was surprisingly tough. The jumping is not that difficult, but you swallow so much foam..., says Kristoffer Ingebrigtsen.
- How did the other brothers cope with this? I guess they don't drink beer that often...
- I think it went well. I was running myself, so I didn't catch much of them, but I think it went well.
- Was it a successful marking for Jakob?
- Yes.
Kristoffer Ingebrigtsen also shares a photo of little brother Ingebrigtsen wearing a pink cowboy hat and holding a bottle of champagne from the producer Chassenay d'Arce.
- In my opinion, one of the best value champagnes in the Pole, says VG's wine expert Sara Døscher.
READ WITH VG+: The best bubbles in the basic selection On Saturday, Jakob Ingebrigtsen set a new European record for an English mile in the USA. But 3.43.73 from Eugene should not have been threatened on his home track.
- Not a new record, unfortunately. Got too heavy with the drinking, writes Kristoffer Ingebrigtsen in a humorous comment on Strava.
Let's Run journalist Jonathan Gault is impressed, even though Jakob Ingebrigtsen's 5.22.42 in the beer mile is some way behind Corey Bellemore's world record of 4:28.10.
World record holder Corey Bellemore has challenged Jakob Ingebrigtsen to a duel on an Instagram story.
- Let's go head to head. Im always game. Always, writes Bellemore.
In any case, Jakob Ingebrigtsen had a lot to celebrate on his 23rd birthday.
He finished the season with two European records in the Diamond League final, but has also set two world records during the season.
Ingebrigtsen has made it clear that he wants to set 10 world records from 1500 meters to the marathon. He currently has two at 2000 meters and two English miles (3218 meters). Elisabeth Asserson has previously shared on social media that she was surprised earlier this summer with a stag party. There was dancing, music, an apparently great atmosphere and paintball.
Now it's all about Saturday's wedding.
It takes place in Bragernes church in Drammen, while the party is held in Børsen party rooms. Elisabeth Asserson has told Drammens Tidende that there will be around 120 guests and the couple will have five groomsmen each.
Børsen party rooms have a large ballroom.
- Ballroom was a big wish. It remains from when we were younger, Asserson has told Drammens Tidende.
Highly doubt he drank over half of each beer can. I've been to a LOT of beer miles and the only dudes who actually finish each can are the party animal types. The guys who were obsessed with running and how fast they are never finished the cans.
I’m not sure the guy who just ran 3:43 would feel the need to cheat so he could clock a 5:22 beer mile. 4 beers isn’t a lot. It just isn’t.
Beg to differ, it’s a lot of carbonation In a short time. putting down 48 oz of carbonated alcoholic drink in 5 minutes is a skill that generally takes practice (whether on or off the track). The one beer mile I completed without throwing up was slower than my HS 5K
The man loves to run, test himself and compete. This, more than any post-race interview or workout, is indication that he will own every WR. Can you imagine wrapping up a 7 month long racing season (starting with a 3:32 on Feb. 15 and ending with a 7:23 on Sept. 17) only to step off an inter-continental flight and the thing that seems most fun to you is to run a beer mile? He will dominate the sport for the next decade. What a legend.
Jakob drinks more than you guys think. It's Norwegian athletics culture, just like Warholm and Stian.
I also would not be surprised if he drinks more than we'd think, but then again he is probably too disciplined and obsessed to train well to allow himself drinks aside from special holidays. Why does no one have insights about this?
This is awesome. Shows he does have a social life and can behave like a normal 22 year old. That board behind him, haha.
Does anyone know if he sometimes drinks alcohol/beer? As in, is he super strict about nutrition, like those super clean eating athletes (Kerr?)? I remember hearing the Ingebrigtsens would eat pizza, drink coke etc so maybe he does not obsess over that part of his life? I would not put it past him to sometimes have a beer to be honest.
If memory serves me right, I believe Jakob said on a podcast or something that nutrition for him doesn’t really matter and what does matter is eating enough rather than eating too little
honestly pretty solid for Jakob's likely first time doing a beer mile as I highly doubt he has ever run one before lol
And it was on Monday, in Norway. So between the jet lag and the back to back hard races on Saturday and Sunday, that is pretty solid.
I'm blown away by this.
Blown away by the fact this race somehow took place in Norway on Monday during daylight hours? We can't get our employee back to Boston by a decent time on Monday from Eugene. How in the hell did he get from Eugene to Norway in time for a beer mile that took place in the daylight?
Seriously.
1) Where was the bachelor party and when?
It appears to be physically impossible to get to Oslo on Monday before 11:30 pm on any commercial flight that left Portland after 7 pm ET on Sunday. Airline experts, please tell me how this was possible. I think the party had to be on Tuesday.

Exactly. The alcohol doesn’t even begin to enter the bloodstream in this amount of time - it’s not about the alcohol other than insofar as “Soda Mile” lacks the same cachet. A 5:22 Diet Pepsi mile wouldn’t be any easier.

4 beers in 5 minutes sounds like a lot to me. I'd be drunk, throwing up and hungover the next day, LMAO............................. but I'm not a drinker and probably neither is Jakob.
