Henrik bought his first house in 2015, at 25 years old!
Yes, but he had to give it up and move in to his parents again. Also brought with him his (future) wife and first kid. All due to losing some of his sponsors…
If you don’t think wavelights make a difference, you’ve either never raced yourself or you started watching track & field 2 years ago.
It used to be extremely common to see pacers mess up and run uneven splits (usually by going out too hard on the first lap). Pacing is hard. I remember Mo attempting a 10K PR in Eugene several years back and the pacers were 10s off less than halfway through.
It’s not a coincidence that the 5k and 10k records went down within a year of wavelights getting widespread adoption at DL meets.
If they're behind him, he knows he's ahead of them - at all times.
He is afraid of them. That's his new training secret. Runs ahead of pacing lights and is punished if they catch him.
They say pure hate wins races, but that's wrong. It's pure fear. Fight or flight. Flight runs faster obviously.
Once again, I'm proven even righter than I thought! Look how fast Jakob can go when he gets someone almost as fast to run right behind him the whole way. He is using fear.
With 200 to go, he looked back. He was scared! It made him finish fast.
