Yes, and according to you (a few years ago) he would never go sub 3.31 😊
Actually, his average speed: 3.32.35 and 3:47.82 for the mile.
He can run 5 laps at a faster pace than Ovett could do for 4 laps. Ovett's 5 laps pace he could hold for almost 10 laps. Compared to Ingebrigtsen, Ovett looks like a hobby jogger.
it's the near perfect tactician in ovett that spend less effort.
if ovett drafted off jacob the entire way, and he would have, with the shoes and track, ovett would be 50 50 for the win down the straight.
without drafting jacob wins easy however.
What are your specific suspicions other than him running fast times? I feel like I’m as suspicious as the next guy when there are red flags, but I don’t get why people take the time to follow the sport and come on these boards to throw out accusations solely based on fast times. You could spend time finding another interest to follow if you believe fast times = cheating.
Meh. If he broke 3:30 that would be impressive. Or if he did 3:32 in old style spikes.
Ran through roland park. Simply terrifying
In the 1000? Maybe. Longer event? No way, Ingebrigtsen is so much better than Ovett, he will just ran away.
I'm wouldn't call Jakob the GOAT but this is being a little deliberately obtuse. He's the reigning Olympic 1500m champion.

I’m a guy. I see a female psychiatrist. I’m developing feelings for her and confused.
