Biological female winning the women's 1500m national title. Beyond silly this nonsense of anyone using biologically correct pronouns for Hiltz getting it in the neck from Hiltz and her militant possy. Little wonder her win is difficult to get excited about. If she feels so strongly she should stop running in women's races and compete in open category races.
All these posts are getting tired. You can deny hiltz’ Non-binary identity and pronouns all you want. It doesn’t change the fact that Hiltz won the race with an epic kick—fair and square. Get over yourself and find somewhere else to whine about pronouns.
Can someone explain to me - I don't know the back story - was Hiltz born female and is considered transgender as she has transferred from female to non-binary?
She was born female, but apparently on some days she says she feels like a man, other days she feels like a woman, and on other days shes somewhere in between,so she calls herself they and them.

No need to explain it to you. You have done so accurately here.

Strange that she always feels like a woman on race days 🤔

Couple of points.
1) Rojo got up a flash recap of the mens 1500 before our live recap show. I didn’t get the women’s won up in time so that’s why at 2 am we had a men’s recap up and not men’s as my focus then switched to getting the podcast out.
2) As for the pronouns, I think they do confuse a lot of people as to what’s going on biologically/chemically (poster above)
Biologically, Hiltz is a female and not taking any hormones to my knowledge. Just identifies as non-binary and transgender and likes people to use they/them and we try and respect that. We also try and note it in articles as I think it’s confusing to people not aware of Hiltz’s identity.

In terms of sport Hiltz has no unfair advantage.
I root for Hiltz and she is running great, however for the most part if you are transgender if you are a biological Woman, then now you identify as a Man. But she runs only in Woman's races, so that confuses a lot of people with these ridiculous pronouns. Now if she wants to identify as non-binary, that is fine but she is a Woman running in Woman's races so call her she......end of story.
I think its because she insists on everyone calling her they/them,and saying shes not a woman, yet competes as a woman,in womens races. You cant have it both ways.
Yeah she(?) really caused confusion, I didn't know if it was a dude competing vs women, or just a woman that says it's a man but still competes vs women. I actually had to google her to see what the story was.

The OP knows the reason Hiltz didn’t receive the credit they deserve following this victory. The OP asked the question anyway. Since the question was asked, people are free to respond. And they did…just as the OP knew they would. It was a troll post that got the response the OP wanted. And if people want tolerance and respect for their non-binary status they should be willing to extend the same tolerance and respect to those who question why a non-binary person always runs in the women’s race.
I agree with this. Nikki has said in an interview that it's not ok if announcers label them as she even if they apologize afterwards. Nikki is in a women's race. Isn't that appropriate to call Nikki a woman? She/they pronouns would be more fitting

Yes, exactly. It's a hypocrisy coming from the trans side that they don't realize or care about. They say biological men should complete against biological women because there is no advantage. And then they say (rightly) that Hiltz is a biological woman so has no advantage. But I thought even if she was a man she wouldn't have an advantage because there's no biological difference? Which one is it?

There is inconsistency in this line of thinking and the valid reasons most of us don’t want male-to-female transgender runners competing in women’s races. Most of us agree that it’s fine if someone who was born male wants to identify as a woman (gender identity), but that person shouldn’t be allowed to compete in the female category because the male-female categories for competition are based on biological sex, not gender identity.
So now let’s apply that reasonable logic to Nikki. Nikki was born female and is competing in the female category as is appropriate. So Nikki doesn’t need to identify as a woman to compete in the female category because, as many of us argue when it comes to male-to-female transgender athletes, the female category is based on biological sex, not gender identity. Therefore, as long as Nikki isn’t taking any testosterone, Nikki can identify as nonbinary or even as a dude while competing as a biological female in the female category.

Nikki can identify as whatever she sees fit,and as shes a biological woman, she should be allowed to run with other woman.I dont have a problem with that. But if she's gonna get mad whenever she's "misgendered",all the while competing as a woman, yet denying she is one, she's gonna run into problems. The fact that she doesnt accept apologies for being "misgendered",tells me everything i need to know.

I've never met Nikki but Nikki should be capable of realizing that for many people the transgender phenomenon is a whole new world that they are still trying to understand. So long as a person approaches Nikki in good faith and mistakenly uses the wrong pronoun(s) Nikki should be willing to forgive. If Nikki is unwilling to accept an apology that to me is a negative.
