I would but it will get autodeleted. Involves doping college athletes, sexual battery, jail time, federal lawsuits, damning admissions, zero moral scruples and a pending criminal trial.
You don't fully understand her "current situation." The Johnsons aren't just coaches to Wiley. They are her family. Wiley once said that Lauren Johnson is her best friend. You don't just leave your family and your best friend.
It's not at all similar to Athing Mu leaving her Texas A&M coach to go with Bobby Kersee. I don't think Wiley is leaving the Johnsons any time soon.
Can someone summarize this Lauren Johnson thing for me? Sounds interesting and I don't want to read the 40+ page thread on it.
TLDR:
- Nick Johnson is prescribed EPO and testosterone because of “fatigue” and “only having one kidney”.
- Athletes were injected with a foreign substance starting in 2019/2020. The contents of this substance are unknown. At the present date the substance is supposedly L-Caratine, but that is a RX in the US.
- Most top HU runners and every coach was involved
- Nick also gave his athletes other prescription drugs. These include minor painkillers and other anti inflammatories.
- Sexual assault/r$pe stuff that we’ve already heard
- local law enforcement said it was basically “he said she said” and there were no charges to pursue.
there’s a lot more to it, but basically Nick is a monster, Lauren is his accomplice that just so happens to “never be around”, and the entire HU administration turned a blind eye to it.
I wish there had been a question about tactics. Wiley was forwardly placed early on the rail then allowed herself to get steadily shuffled way back. After the heat she said she was determined to remain top 3 throughout that race.
Wiley wouldn't concede it but I think Mu's presence changed the way she ran that race. I think that applies to Sinclaire Johnson also.
I respect both Jon for pitching the hardball and Addy for not striking out.
The girl gave the best interview out of anyone the entire meet. Said it as it is. No BS. Also love her attitude that she wasn’t just happy to be there. She wanted to win.

Just for clarification , I assume you meant L-carnitine which is readily available OTC in capsule form in the US. Are you saying there is an injectable form that is Rx or is there something in addition to the L-carnitine? Thanks, honest question.
I’m also rooting for her but I’ll root for her more once she separates herself from the Johnsons. She has a bright future and I honestly think she’ll eventually realize she should surround herself with different people.
Every single top coach would absolutely love to coach her once she commits to getting away from her current situation.
She’s only 19 and I’m optimistic.

People leave their family all the time, especially in toxic and abuse relationships.
At this point she owes no explanation to anyone about anything!!
Hey addy, next time you are in the mix zone after a race simply say “I’d only like to discuss todays race, thank you.”
cuz you don’t owe anybody baby!!
whatcha gone do brother when the hottest rising name in women’s distance running….WILEYMANIA runs wild on you?!!?? 🏃♀️🕶️🤘🏼🇺🇸
The real rising 1500 star is obviously Athing Mu. From NCAA 400 champion to Olympic and World 800 champion and now has set her sights on the 1500. Second at USAs in her third best event!
Here is pretty good summary of all the allegations regarding the Johnsons. It's not nearly as one sided as you get from one particular poster who shall remain unnamed.
Running for the Chemist. Sigh. I have already written off pro running. I treat it like cycling. Not real but an interesting spectacle. But for pete's sake, don't dope in high school or college. have some vestige of integrity and leave the unfettered ambition for the future. That is when I get set off.
