Excitement and max-effort at finish probably turns off calm predicting thinking, it's understandable.
The summer circuit of races always has these little weirdness from novices but if she's in it before that is odd.
I think race-directors could chime in how to prevent this?
My "armchair observer" thought is that there should be some kind of signaling from the motorcycle where a blinking light or something is turned OFF to indicate it's no longer active/leading.
It's happened enough times that I can vaguely remember things like this from other races.
Nice problem to have I guess when you get a motorcycle to follow, only races I've ever led were so small there was no vehicle, once a dude on a mountain bike which was actually annoying lol
But I cannot imaging having to breathe exhaust the whole way, that would bother me, everything should be electric.
