Heard they are going far from the norm. Rumor is Colorado high school coach - Dominic Douglass is in the running. Good track record with 4x800 and 400. Would be surprised if that’s the route they take
Go outside, the world isn't as dangerous as you think.
Are you employed in some way be New Mexico tourist industry? I gave greater ABQ a shot. I considered buying (1 to 3) acres between ABQ and Santa Fe 7 or 8 years ago. As a so-called cure to New Mexico's crime problem, NM brought back death penalty, not going to fix anything. Are you going to make me work and post crime stats in ABQ?
Not sure why ABQ is being brought up on this thread, but….
I’m glad it didn’t work out for you here. We don’t miss you.

Solve West Mesa Desert murders then get back to us.
If it's not going to be somewhere he sees himself for a long time and it was just a job to get "head coach" on his resume, I can understand why he backed out when he realized the situation might have been worse than he first anticipated.
If he was really set on building there and having a long term position then maybe you decide to make it through the dumpster fire and build the program back up to something you'd be proud of. He's got to live with whatever decision he thinks is best and what other future employers might think.
Also can be drop this stupid geography crime rate garbage? Stop de-railing the topic with pointless whining and make a new thread.
It’s pretty obvious that no one on this thread actually know what they’re talking about. This is the actual story. Mullaney was sold the idea that the PSU men’s program would have upwards of 20 distance runners next year. This would consist of a solid group of 4th/5th years with around 2 years left for almost of them, a stacked sophomore class with almost all their eligibility, and another solid group of newcomers (transfers and freshman alike). This team had a small possibility of getting national bids within the next few years. What he came to find out was that the team consists of only 3 guys who’re guaranteed to come back next year with one of them leaving after the fall and another being a mid distance guy. Anyone who finds out this information after being hired would definitely do the same thing in his shoes. The women’s team isn’t in a much better situation either. Also stop talking and New Mexico. No one cares 😁thank you for coming to my TED Talk

Embarrassing for Portland State.
Embarrassing for Jack M.
Embarrassing for the person who takes this job who wasn’t even the first choice after an inexperienced kid who wasn’t ready to actually do the thing took the job before them.
