C’mon guys! Stop picking on elite runners. Do you have any idea how hard it is to be a pro runner when battling low hematocrit, asthma, a thyroid condition, ADHD, an eating disorder, bipolar depression, poor iron, amnesia, and shin splints at the same time? It’s a lot harder than trying to win a Turkey Trot while holding a job and raising a family.
Whatever. Craig has little stature in this sport. Other/better athletes don’t need to pay any attention to him.
Just a good ol’ fashioned bad take, well done.
The truth hurts but that doesn’t make it less true. It’s a nice gesture by Craig. I just don’t want you to get your hopes up that it will make a big difference and then be disappointed. If Jakob does this then we might see other prominent athletes follow.
Craig posted his USADA home page on Instagram to show he doesn’t have any TUEs or whereabouts failures and wants others to do the same.
haven’t seen anybody take him up on it yet. any guesses on who definitely won’t take the challenge?
Meh - somewhat relevant, somewhat washed up guy looking for attention. Would’ve been more impressive if he did this instead of defending sleazebar. It will be popular with the frat boy “everyone is doping“ douche bags that have a cult like following to him.

I never wanted to be an "everyone is doping" douchebag. And for a long time I never was.
But how can you not be tempted at this day and age? With absurd times and absurd performances left and right, and even your favorite neighborhood white Americans getting caught. It makes you question everything.
I don't think everyone is doping. But I think it's a whole lot more than you think. If there are clean athletes out there and they care about clean sport, then they can be a lot more transparent.
Remember when Shelby was begging everyone to believe she was innocent? One of the simplest things she could do was post her USADA page. How many whereabouts violations did she have? How many TUE's? Not saying I'd believe her with that, but it would be helpful to say: Look I have nothing to hide.
Athletes standing for clean sport are so rare these days, I have no choice but to support the ones that take little steps to show where they stand.
Why stop there? Post your full medical history and most current blood work along with your Final Surge training schedule and nutrition plan. Let the public audit every aspect of the athlete so we can feel okay cheering for them
If Kenya had learnt TUE abuse, the number of currently banned athletes would be automatically halved. But thank heavens it's mostly crude methods with no national system to manage such a scheme.
What are some Thyroid medications that might be performance enhancing that you don't need a TUE for?
GPT-4: As of my last update in September 2021, common thyroid medications such as levothyroxine (Synthroid), liothyronine (Cytomel), and natural thyroid extracts (Armour Thyroid) are not listed as prohibited substances by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and thus do not require a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). These medications are primarily used to treat hypothyroidism and other thyroid-related disorders. They do this by replacing or supplementing the thyroid hormone, which affects metabolic processes in the body.

How do these thyroid med enhance a runner's performance. Does it allow athletes to consume and eventually store more carbs the muscles and liver without gaining weight? more stored fuel than a runner who doesn't take thyroid meds?
Better suggestion than what Craig is doing… why not just make all of the TUEs and whereabouts violations publicly accessible? If there’s nothing to hide then it should all be available!

Abstract. Abuse of androgens and erythropoietin has led to hormones being the most effective and frequent class of ergogenic substances prohibited in elite spor

Tbh are we shocked if people test positive at this point? I remember watching the Jacob Thompson series on YouTube and pre race before a half he used an inhaler and I laughed because here’s a guy running 120miles a week, a 2:11 marathoner but needs an inhaler…..come on now. Personally feel like Craig is struggling and feels a need to validate why he can’t compete at the “top level” anymore. Seems like he knows plenty of athletes are dirty and is trying to dry snitch. Lame move but not surprised because it’s Craig and he gives off Billy the Toad vibes.
