Can a Norge/Sverige/Dansk person translate anything of interest in this video which dates back a while I think.
Actually not so much of interest. Though he proud of himself since he should compete in EuroChampionships and hoped to reach the final. He is a bit of a nerd so he answered questions in Geography on the plane. He came 5th. His last 1000 2.22.56.

Can coach JS provide more information about this guy as he seems to know most of the Nordic superstars including their training and lifestyle habits? Thank you.
As Papa zing has stated before there are a lot of good training programs but the way they train consistency is king. Sticking with a method above all else for months and years and not getting distracted by the small meets and things along the way.
In my opinion this is incredibly hard to do in the NCAA unless you have a deep team. For cross you have to run well at a minimum Wisconsin or pre nats, conference, regionals, nationals. Indoors you need a fast qualifying time, conference nationals. Outdoors again fast qualifying time, conference, first rounds, nationals.
Hard to train through all of those other meets along the way
Not sure about that, Jakob races well indoors and out and even shows up (and wins) Euro xc.
A guy who has a better SB in the 1500m than any American (and Jakob)!
This is unfortunately so quintessential letsrun. As you say, he has better SB than any american but is treated like a nobody. I think there has been more posts about Tuohy than the three new world records/bests combined.

Hi Ghost 1🖐I have of course seen his progression from some years ago. Early he was told to be someone special talented runner in Norway. He is "one out of a million" and not only a " training product" as many now tend to think when they haven't heard so much about him until now. Let's make it very clear, you don't run a 3:32 1500 if not very talented, no matter whatever the training method is........ 🖐🧙♂️🇸🇪🏃🇸🇪🧙♂️🖐

And he has about same speed over 400 m long sprint all out as Jakob. 3:32 @ 1500m means 56,5 sec per lap.

Gjert gives the good stuff to a guy off the street and turns him into world class. Just normal Norwegian shenanigans by now.
Sir, I feel your post is disrespectful to this runner, which I'm sure 99.9% of Nordic people, will agree with me is honest and clean as a whistle.
This so-called "guy off the street" has been running well for quite a few years and in 2020 he posted a 3:56.62 mile in Bergen, which is not an ideal place to run with wind and in Lahti Finland, in 2021, he posted a world-class 7:41.51 3000 meters. Hardly a guy off the street - come on dude.
Narve Gilje Nordas, I get the feeling, is a very high IQ runner, literally and figuratively. Nordas is an intellectual in the running world -in many ways striking one as very different from Jakob Ingebrigtsen, who comes across as much more simple and working class in his demeanor and characteristics with his tattoos etc earrings and so on.

Narve is actually a farmer boy from the country side. Until recently he took turns milking the cows between sessions. But yes, he is attending university now.

Ok thank you for the update and - lol - "farmer boy" in a country like Norway, which is basically the richest country (or one of the same) in the world doesn't necessarily mean that the person in question is uncouth. Norway may not be as rich as countries like Qatar in the Gulf countries, but their people, Norwegians, I would vouch to say are somewhat more "educated and savvy" about the world (in general) than Gulf Arabs in general, and that is not to put down Gulf Arabs, (I lived in Saudi 2008-2014) but just my two kroners. Gulf Arabs, have their own charms.
He is not uncouth at all. But he is also not a slick city bohemian kind of guy. He comes of very down to earth in interviews, and he has a great, very likeable personality.

Absolutely and I really admire him because he's very humble and also very accessible on Instagram for anyone who wishes to ask him questions, they will always get a response very quickly and that is very rare among monster people on Instagram.
He is still 24. Turns 25 at Sept 30. Gjert Ingebrigtsen has converted him from a long distance runner to a 1500 guy. His goal at Bislett DL 15th is Henrik Ingebrigtsens PB 3.31.46. When he ran 3.32.39 he was still training pretty hard. But at Bislett - it is going to get fast - he will not match the best in the field, though he always finishes fast: T. Cheruiyot, J. Ingebrigtsen, Y. Nuguse, O. Hoare and J.Kerr. Weather forecast: 29 degrees and 1 m/sec wind. Promising.
I just got a personal message (Instagram) from the man himself - N.G.Nordas, who replied on the same day that I sent him a question (this is rare for monsters, many of them don’t even have the courtesy to reply to a message request ), about how his training has changed to allow him to run so fast, and in essence he said “you have to be patient and stay away from injury and try to get in around 8500 km per year to build strength. “ he has been training consistently since September 2022 he said in his message.
Screenshots of than conversation, please? How do we know you're not lying?

That applies to all farmers, not just norwegian farmers. Or did you let your classism slip a bit?
