Phenomenal comeback. He was soooo out of it, and then, bam. Right back in.
Bolder Boulder really doing a great job with the finish in the stadium in front of all the citizen racers. Has to be one of the best atmospheres the pros will experience.
Molly Grabill's 34:37 would have placed 5th in the Pro division. My guess is she won't get any money because she wasn't in the Pro race. Complete crap since she ran the entire race by herself.

Umm…She had dozens of men to run with the entire way. Also, the temperature was about 20 degrees cooler for the citizen race.

Doesn’t work that way, she certainly would have run slower 4 hours later in much warmer conditions than she did. And you have to be invited to have a shot at pro prize money. There could be a legit argument that she deserved an invite as much as Thweatt or Spence did but that’s the pro race director’s call.

They were invited because they finished tops in the citizens race last year. Molly should get her chance to run in the pro race next year. That’s how BB has done it for years.
I love Mantz, he’s just a grinder who rarely has a bad race and has pretty good track chops. I fully expect him to PR at 10,000 this year as well as, eventually, run a 2:05ish marathon. But I do not understand why he doesn’t give his body more time to recover. Seems he was doing a hard workout within two weeks of Boston and now a 10k road race? Shouldn’t he have taken a couple down weeks after Boston and another couple before he started crushing workouts, preparing for a later summer? I just feel like full recovery and not racing a ton is a far less risky way to a longer career.
