Yomif ran a faster indoor mile in 2019, but we didn't see him dominating in the season anyway. Kerr and Wightman have proven that they can perform under pressure when it matters
Nuguse ran a 3:47 mile recently, but good point otherwise.
In a meaningless race. When he gets championship hardware then people can talk. Until then you are all just childish fanboys (like semihaze and astro to KTuohy). Last I recall, this guy was being flamed as a loser for not racing the Olympics while hurt. Guess you people can't make up your wasted minds.
That was the point of the above poster about Wightman and Kerr. They have championship medals, but you yanks are already putting Kessler (for one 3.32) on their level. No wonder NO ONE respects the American opinion. Heck I thought Hocker was supposed to be the next superstar (after 2021). Seems he has already been discarded to the trash bin by you fickle lot.

Guess you're forgetting Matt Centrowitz GOLD... that's why American opinions matter.
Before Jakob, the last time a European won Gold in the 1500m was Fermin Cacho. England hasn't won Gold approaching four decades.
Forty-five plus years ago, a fast indoor mile often indicated a faster outdoor mile would likely occur. 160 yard wood tracks are slower than outdoor tracks. Indoor arenas 45 plus years ago allowed smoking inside. The air quality was awful at many indoor meets 45 plus years ago. Today, trampoline 200m tracks and great climate indoors. One can no longer assume a sub-3:55 mile indoors means much outdoors.

Kerr and Wightman have run one great race each in their career. Kerr in the Olympic final in 2021 and Wightman last year in Eugene.
No evidence that they will run equally fast this year.

What on earth are you on about? To pick two 3:30 performances off the top of my head; Kerr at WCs and Wightman at CW. You're acting like their 3:29s were completely out of character

Kerr has finished 3rd and 5th in the last two global championships. Wightman had the race of his life in Eugene, but he’s legitimately reached a new level. Nuguse is off to a great start, but getting 2nd in one Diamond League race doesn’t make you a lock for silver at Worlds. I’m easily picking Wightman and Kerr over Nuguse at this point in time.
