Yes, the big frustration with T&F has to be that athletes have a platform and many choose just to not say anything. Here are some examples:
Evan Jager - What are your racing plans? How is training going? When will you open up in the Steeple?
Emmanuel Korir - You were supposed to race the 400m in Kenya and chase the Kenyan Record. Why didn't you compete despite sharing video on the day of you there? Are you racing in Rabat or is there an injury affecting that plan too?
Cole Hocker - Just a pretty much constant smattering of IG yet rarely addresses if he's healthy/racing plans.
Then there are athletes that take you inside their day-to-day as well as give their racing calendar, or at least their next race(s). I don't think fans need as much transparency as you get from a lot of the Team Boss women or ON team, but the bare minimums of here's why I didn't race, here's my next race etc. would help following the sport immensely.
