This is just obviously wrong. If basketball is at all comparable to running, the WNBA team would be on about the same level as an all-state HS boys team. How many high school XC teams have five 4:20 milers? That's about the equivalent here.
It's not a perfect comparison, since one player can singlehandedly take over a basketball game. WNBA players would have a really tough time against any future high-end D1/NBA talent, but there are still plenty of very good teams that they would beat.
It may possible that the sex gap is greater in basketball than running since height is such a big factor in addition to overall athleticism. On the other hand, the WNBA team would have a big advantage in basketball IQ and strategy, which isn't really a thing in running.
